What is paintball, you might ask? Paintball is a sport in which air guns, similar to BB guns except powered by canisters, propell gelatin-shelled capsules filled with water based paint. Games are played, usually a capture the flag type game, where when you a tagged with a paintball, you are out. The only required paintball gear is a paintball gun, and CERTIFIED goggles, such as the ones put out by JT and Scott. ONLY paintball goggles will do. Motorcycle helmets, shop or ski goggles, or glasses do not offer enough protection to the eyes. A paintball directly in the eye can seriously injure you. At point blank range, it may kill you. No one has ever died as a direct result of playing paintball. Paintball has less injuries each year than baseball or golf. It is basiclly the safest sport around.
